• The Day Tripper 2-Piece is an entry-level recreational kayak paddle, made by Carlisle / Old Town.

• It’s designed for casual paddling—good for beginners, occasional use, or as a backup paddle.

• Available in different lengths: for example 220 cm, 230 cm, 240 cm depending on paddler size and kayak width.

• Available in 2-piece configuration (split shaft) for portability, take-down, etc.

⚖️ Performance & Suitability

• Good for calm water paddling: lakes, gentle rivers. Not intended for extreme whitewater or heavy surf.

• Because of asymmetrical blades & decent shaft design, strokes are reasonably efficient for non-pros / hobby paddlers. You’ll still get more fatigue than premium paddles with carbon shafts or more advanced blade shapes.

• The two-piece take-down and feathering option give flexibility: you can adjust for wind, pack the paddle, etc.
